Book Design
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Concept
Within the subject of Typography II, a briefing was launched with the intention of creating a book edition: typographic layout - letterhead, title lettering and cover design that would allow an adaptation of a collection of books from the same publisher. The book chosen was Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland".
All designs were thought considering the time when the novel was written, 19th century (1865). Even though it is a timeless novel, it is a book that can be associated with classic children's tales and stories. Therefore it presents a classic approach in its layout structure and also in some aspects of lettering and cover. However, every design created also combines modern features, especially on the cover.
